I am actually witnessing this as I type. Along St Margarets Road, there are three lorries, two of them Tesco, one Oddbins, and a large 4 x 4 parked on the double Yellow – One of the Tesco lorries is up by Around The World.
I'm on a bus, and there's an ambulance trying to get through. The lorries have used up so much road, there are no passing spaces left.
The result is that the bus is trying to get up onto the kerb, to allow the ambulance through.
Proof, if ever it were needed that there is not the room for lorries on this stretch of road.
We need a lorry ban.
